Read Tales from the Prow (Λόγια της Πλώρης) by Andreas Karkavitsas in easier Greek: a free CEFR B2 graded reader to download as an EPUB. Four sea tales told by Greek sailors, from the mermaid who asks after Alexander the Great to shipwrecks, corsairs and the spirits of the waves. This is a selection of four complete tales, not the whole collection, with the sailors' dialect turned into modern standard Greek, much of the sea language kept and a glossary after each tale.
